Chros (indecl.) (Centaurosapien brachyurus), known in Ander as Kros, are among the Enderian sapients in Imperialism of Illagers who originated from western Enderia.
Classification[]
Chros are grouped in clade Eucentauria, a type of Centauria with the common trait of two-nailed feet. Their closest living relative is the Chorusgrazers, a common herd animal in Yarkislag.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Chros have a centaur-like body shape, with two pairs of feet and a pair of arms. Their skin is leathery with an overall black tone and grey underbelly. They have a robust muscular tail, used for balance and a weapon to whip their enemies. They have three fingers on each of their hands, one of which is opposable, which allows for acute hold and manipulation of objects. They have a pair of purple eyes on the sides on their head, a trait common for grazing herbivores. Their short snout is sometimes used to aid in manipulating objects. Each of their feet possess a pair of nails.
Reproduction[]
Chros reproduce by laying eggs, with each clutch having one to three eggs. Females play a big role in tending and teaching their young.
Society[]
Before the dawn of civilization, Chros lived in social groups, each group having less than 10 individuals. Each group only has one adult male, who is the leader, while the rest are females. After reaching adulthood, young males will either leave the group to form a new one or challenge the leader for the status, resulting in a fierce duel.
Being naturally patriarchal resulted in many Chros nations to be ruled by a male, though many nations have defied this tradition and have a female as the leader instead.
