The Common Ghasts (Paralarva lacrimosa) are a strange floating organism of Netheria in Imperialism of Illagers, most commonly found within the Soul Valleys.
Biology[]
Ghasts are large organisms with eight small tentacles to help stir them in the air. They possess white skin which are resistant to high temperatures, but are rather frail otherwise. They have a special organ near their mouths which are able to produce gunpowder similar to those in Creepers, and are used to spit fireballs. These organs came from Herobrine's gene alteration to use the ghasts as air cannons during his reign.
Ghast larva
Ghasts reproduce by laying a lot of small egg cells, these cells would develop into ghast larvae, seen beside. After some time, the larva forms a cocoon to then transform into juvenile ghasts, which resemble smaller version of the adults. They have an average lifespan of 35 years.
Behavior[]
Ghasts are rather docile and will not attack unless provoked. They feed on floating microorganisms in Netheria's air.
