Soulspawns are a type of lifeform in Imperialism of Illagers. They first appeared in Our Song.

Biology[]

Soulspawns are lifeforms that are fully powered by souls. Their body is supported by a skeleton also filled with soul energy. Most are vulnerable to sunlight. They can be spawned through Spawners hidden in the murky depths.

Types[]

Soulspawn Zombies[]

Humanoid soulspawns with green/grey skin and void black eyes.

Soulspawn Drowned[]

Humanoid soulspawns designed to live underwater. They possess blue skin and bright blue eyes, nose, and mouth.

Notable member: Drowned Knight

Soulspawn Skeletons[]

Old soulspawn zombies/drowned with their flesh decayed away, leaving a skeletal body with blue eyes.

Notable member: Thirios

Vexes[]

Light blue humanoid soulspawns with white wings which permits flight, glowing white eyes, and devilish smile. They possess sharp claws as natural weaponry and can be summoned by low-level soulbenders such as illager evokers. More advanced soulbender users (such as Atlas) can summon invisible vexes and connect the Vex's POV to his mind and project it. They are immune to sunlight.

Phantoms[]

Soulspawns that bear resemblance to Ichtyopterans of Enderia. They have blue skin with some bones exposed and green eyes. They are able to fly.

Creepers[]

Quadrupedal soulspawns with green skin and frowning expression. During the tyranny of Obsidian Legion, they were used as living bombs, though after centuries most forgot how to do it, and instead rely on bites to kill their prey. They are concentrated in the Creeper Woods.

Behavior[]

Generally, Soulspawns are engineered to hunt almost all Platian sapients, with a peculiar exception of Illagers. They are usually not sapient and are very aggressive. They have some degree of natural instincts, only went out when nighttime and took hiding in the caves once the sun rises back. They can be controlled by powerful soulbenders.

Members[]

Trivia[]
